James started playing Guitar in 1978 and was taught by Paul Hammond for 12 years. His expertise at the Flamenco Guitar was as a result of attending a Flamenco School in Seville.

He has played at the Larmer Tree & Salisbury Festival as well as at weddings and numerous private functions.

In his spare time he teaches all styles of guitar from electric to jazz & classical.
